Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to drive full-stack embedded development for our radar seeker products. You will work on ARM-based processors, write drivers, and develop both bare-metal and OS-based software in C++ and/or Rust, with embedded Linux expertise, collaborating with hardware, RF, and firmware engineers.

This role requires hands-on testing with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers, on-site collaboration, and the ability to operate autonomously

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• Professional experience developing embedded software for production systems.
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ and/or Rust.
• Experience with embedded Linux development.
• Experience with ARM processors and traditional microprocessor architectures.
• Experience writing device drivers and low-level software interfacing with hardware peripherals (SPI, I2C, UART).
• Hands-on use of digital test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers).
• Self-directed, autonomous in a fast-paced environment.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance; must be a U.S. Person.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy embedded software across the full stack—from application code to drivers.
• Develop and maintain embedded Linux software for radar seeker systems using C++ or Rust.
• Write device drivers and firmware interfacing with SPI, I2C, UART, and other buses.
• Perform hardware-software integration, board bring-up, and debugging with test equipment.
• Spend significant time on-site at Anduril facilities supporting integration and field testing.
• Collaborate with electrical, RF, firmware, and systems engineers to deliver products.
• Troubleshoot complex issues spanning electrical and software boundaries.
• Operate autonomously within a small, fast-paced team from concept to deployment.
