Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to lead full-stack embedded development for next-generation radar seeker products, including ARM-based cores and bare-metal to OS configurations.

You will write drivers, develop embedded Linux software in C++/Rust, work with RF/digital test equipment, and collaborate across hardware and software teams. This role requires a proactive, autonomous engineer with a path to clearing eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• Professional experience developing embedded software for production systems.
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ and/or Rust.
• Demonstrated expertise in embedded Linux development.
• Experience with ARM processors and traditional microprocessor architectures.
• Experience writing device drivers and low-level software interfacing with hardware peripherals (SPI, I2C, UART, etc.)
• Self-directed working style with ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy embedded software across the full stack — from application-level code on embedded processor cores down to drivers and low-level mechanisms controlling hardware
• Develop and maintain embedded Linux software for radar seeker systems using modern C++ and/or Rust
• Write device drivers and firmware that interface with hardware over SPI, I2C, UART, and other low-level buses for data transfer and peripheral control
• Perform hardware-software integration, board bring-up, and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and RF/digital test equipment
• Spend significant time on-site at Anduril facilities (weeks at a time) supporting integration, field testing, and real-world validation of products
• Collaborate closely with electrical, RF, firmware, and systems engineers to deliver fully functional products
• Troubleshoot complex issues that span the electrical and software boundaries
• Operate autonomously within a small, fast-paced team — driving development from concept through deployment without hand-holding
