Job summary

Axtria is hiring Forward Deployment Engineers to embed within pharma clients and deploy production AI systems, not PoCs. You will lead end-to-end architecture, build, and deployment in the client environment, working with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver clinically and commercially useful AI.

The seniority of the role governs scale; pharma domain knowledge is mandatory, and you will mentor junior engineers while contributing to the FDE program’s standards and accelerators.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering/data/AI in pharma or life sciences.
• Production AI experience is mandatory; shipped systems in production.
• Strong foundations in Python, SQL, cloud infra, data pipelines, and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Embed within pharma client organizations and own end-to-end design, build, and deployment of production AI.
• Lead the technical workstream and direct teams of engineers under your ownership.
• Translate pharma business problems into scalable AI architectures and deliver measurable business value.
• Mentor junior FDEs and contribute to Axtria's FDE standards and methodology.
