Job summary

METER Group is seeking a Product Test Engineer to support hardware and software development teams. This role ensures quality assurance and fit-for-purpose testing of embedded firmware in METER's environmental sensing products and related software interfaces. The position is based in Pullman, WA.

Salary range is $60,900 to $86,500 per year, with offers made within this range depending on experience. METER Group provides comprehensive benefits described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent job experience.
• Ability to identify incorrect or unexpected product performance and user experience failures.
• Experience using test automation software to test hardware and software.
• Knowledge of scripting languages for automated testing.
• Understanding of testing processes and lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Participate in product design reviews by providing input on requirements, design, and testability from a client perspective.
• Create and execute hardware and software product test plans with development teams.
• Develop manual and automated tests for product testing and regression testing.
• Use AI-based coding tools to accelerate automated test creation and validation.
• Report and track defects through resolution.
• Recreate issues reported by clients and maintain test equipment.
• Help develop best practices and improve testing procedures for product quality.
