Integrated Solutions for Systems, Inc. (IS4S) is seeking a Software Engineer to develop embedded software for Assured PNT systems in Auburn, AL or Huntsville, AL. You will work across the embedded software lifecycle, implementing navigation algorithms and sensor interfaces in modern C++ within Linux environments.

The role emphasizes reliable, maintainable software with strong debugging and collaboration across systems, hardware, and navigation engineers. On-site work is required in Alabama.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience developing software in modern C++, including object-oriented design and standard library usage.
• Experience developing, building, debugging, and testing software in a Linux environment.
• Proficiency with Git or equivalent version control, including branching and merging, collaborative workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software components for APNT systems using modern C++.
• Implement navigation algorithms processing data from inertial sensors, GPS/GNSS, clocks, and other sources.
• Develop interfaces to sensors, embedded hardware, and host platforms.
• Integrate software with navigation hardware and platforms, troubleshooting interface issues.
• Design and execute unit, integration, and system tests to verify functionality and performance.
• Analyze test results, debug defects, and optimize performance.
• Use Git, automated builds, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality and repeatable development.
