Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in the United States is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to develop software requirements, create embedded software, write test requirements and required documentation, support software releasing and implementation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and present progress at design reviews.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in the design of related products, strong C on embedded platforms,

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in product design.
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years in software/hardware electronics for vehicle data systems.
• Knowledge of CAN/J1939, TCP/IP and embedded development.
• Proficiency in Linux and embedded software architecture.
• Ability to lead projects and teams with minimal supervision.
• Experience in bench testing and debugging embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop software requirements and embedded software for release.
• Prepare test requirements and technical documentation.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Present design progress at Design Reviews.
• Maintain Engineering Change Control and release letters.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Suppliers on specs.
• Ensure product meets customer expectations and add features as required.
• Travel to machine worksites up to 5% for surveys and validation.
• Lead Associate Design Engineers and Contract staff as needed.
