The 12-month, exempt appointment offers a base compensation of $58,000–$60,000 or $64,000–$66,000 with an on-campus apartment, plus comprehensive benefits including

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in clinical or counseling psychology or social work.
• Licensed or licensed-eligible in Virginia as LPC or LCSW; supervision may be provided toward licensure within 1–2 years.
• Experience in focused therapeutic interventions within a multidisciplinary team.
• Supervised experience in a mental health setting; experience with group psychotherapy.
• Experience with crisis management, risk assessments, and safety planning.
• Well-developed counseling and clinical supervision skills.
• A self-motivated, ethical professional with strong relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues with respect and trust.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial assessment and treatment planning for students.
• Deliver individual, couples, and group psychotherapy; crisis interventions.
• Back up after-hours on-call support and crisis response.
• Offer outreach and trainings to residential staff and students; ongoing therapy with residents.
