Job summary

DATAMTX LLC is seeking a Test Technician for an onsite Irvine, CA role. You will work directly on hardware on the manufacturing floor, executing test procedures, flashing firmware, and troubleshooting assemblies to the component level.

Responsibilities include End-of-Line testing, incoming quality inspection, and documenting yield issues. You will maintain lab equipment, calibration schedules, and ensure safety and ESD/5S compliance.

Qualifications

• Background: 2–5+ years in aerospace, defense, or robotics manufacturing.
• Certifications preferred: IPC-A-610 and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620.
• Documentation: ability to strictly adhere to schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings.
• Optional: ability to obtain/maintain U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Test Execution & Operations: End-of-Line (EOL), incoming quality inspection, and sub-system functional testing on microelectronics, pressure vessels, or autonomous hardware (drones, AUVs, ground sensors).
• Software/firmware flashing: load, configure, and verify software and firmware on microcontrollers, SoCs, and memory modules.
• Troubleshooting & rework: diagnose electromechanical and PCBA issues to component level; perform fine-pitch soldering and wire harness repair.
