Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC in Austin, TX is seeking an Embedded Linux Software Engineer for the Sensors & System Software Team. You will build and maintain custom Linux-based systems powering autonomous vehicle sensors and devices.

You will collaborate with hardware and sensor teams on board bring-up, drivers, and low-latency software for cameras, LiDAR, radar, GNSS, and more. A strong background in real-time embedded Linux is essential.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in CS/EE/Robotics or related field.
• 5+ years in embedded software development.
• Proficient in C/C++ for real-time embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Board bring-up on new hardware revisions with hardware team.
• Maintain and build custom Linux distributions for embedded devices.
• Develop and debug Linux device drivers for vehicle peripherals (GMSL/FPD-Link, CAN, Ethernet).
• Write robust userspace in C++/Python.
• Support cross-disciplinary software/hardware debugging.
