Job summary

Latitude AI, a Ford Motor Company subsidiary, seeks an embedded software engineer for its Onboard Platform team. You will own bootloaders, Linux OS builds, and security workflows for ADAS platforms, delivering robust BSPs across hardware platforms.

Applicants should have a strong background in C, Yocto/OpenEmbedded, and Linux device drivers, with leadership experience and a track record of shipping automotive-grade software. Location-based compensation is provided with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Engineering, CS, EE or related field; 2+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with Yocto/OpenEmbedded or Buildroot or similar Linux packaging
• Experience developing Linux device drivers for Ethernet, GPU, PCIe, or flash devices (UFS/eMMC/OSPI)
• Bootloader experience (U-Boot or UEFI)
• Experience with Secure Boot, DMVerity, FSCrypt, and other production-security tech
• Strong C for embedded applications
• Track record leading automotive or related products to production
• Strong communication, organizational, and soft leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Produce, test, and maintain Board Support Packages for various platforms
• Develop a custom bootchain for the platform
• Develop and maintain the custom Linux OS on ADAS platforms
• Implement secure boot mechanisms
• Implement recovery boot workflows
• Manage CVEs throughout the lifecycle of the platform
• Configure IPC mechanisms between Real-Time and Application domains
• Collaborate with hardware, software and systems engineers to ensure product success
