Job description

We are seeking a hands-on BSP / System Engineer to support our Video Conferencing and Smart Camera product lines in the North America market. This role will work closely with global R&D teams, customers, chipset vendors, and manufacturing partners to support system bring-up, platform integration, issue debugging, and product delivery.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with embedded Linux or Android-based platforms, BSP customization, device drivers, system integration, and hardware/software debugging. Experience with Qualcomm platforms, camera systems, video pipeline, or edge AI devices is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Bring-up and BSP Support

  • Support BSP bring-up on embedded Linux / Android / RTOS-based platforms.
  • Debug bootloader, kernel, device tree, drivers, power, memory, storage, USB, PCIe, I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO, and related low-level interfaces.
  • Support platform customization based on customer product requirements.
  • Work with chipset vendors and internal R&D teams to resolve platform-level issues.

System Integration

  • Support integration of camera, audio, display, connectivity, sensors, and peripheral modules.
  • Assist in system-level debugging across hardware, firmware, OS, middleware, and application layers.
  • Support performance optimization, stability improvement, and power consumption tuning.
  • Work with hardware teams on board-level debugging and validation.

Video Conferencing and Smart Camera Product Support

  • Support system-level issues related to video conferencing devices, smart cameras, AI camera platforms, and edge devices.
  • Collaborate with camera, audio, AI, and application teams to ensure end-to-end product functionality.
  • Support product validation, field issue analysis, customer issue reproduction, and root cause analysis.

Customer and Cross-functional Support

  • Serve as a local technical interface for North america customers during project execution.
  • Collect customer requirements, clarify technical issues, and coordinate with global engineering teams.
  • Support on-site debugging, customer demos, pilot runs, and manufacturing bring-up when needed.
  • Prepare technical reports, issue summaries, test results, and RCA documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in embedded system development, BSP, system integration, or platform engineering.
  • Strong experience with embedded Linux and/or Android system architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with bootloader, Linux kernel, device tree, drivers, and board bring-up.
  • Familiarity with common hardware interfaces such as USB, I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO, PCIe, MIPI, SDIO, and Ethernet.
  • Strong debugging skills using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, serial logs, kernel logs, adb, gdb, or similar tools.
  • Ability to analyze complex system issues across hardware and software boundaries.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with global teams across time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Qualcomm platforms such as QCS, QRB, SDM, SDA, SA, or similar embedded platforms.
  • Experience with video conferencing devices, smart cameras, IP cameras, AI cameras, or edge AI products.
  • Familiarity with camera pipeline, MIPI CSI, ISP, V4L2, GStreamer, media framework, or Android camera HAL.
  • Experience with audio, display, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, Ethernet, or sensor integration.
  • Experience with manufacturing support, EVT/DVT/PVT, NPI, or field issue debugging.
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers or OEM/ODM partners.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a practical problem solver who can quickly understand system architecture, reproduce issues, identify root causes, and coordinate with both local customers and remote engineering teams. This person should be comfortable working in a fast-moving product environment where debugging, communication, and ownership are equally important.
