Job summary

Pi Square Technologies is seeking an Embedded BSP Engineer to lead BSP development for automotive-grade embedded platforms. You will perform board bring-up, hardware init, and bootloader integration, while customizing Linux kernels and device trees to fit target hardware.

You will work with ARM-based SoCs, develop low-level drivers, and collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to optimize boot time and system performance on evaluation boards.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on BSP development and customization.
• Expertise in Embedded C/C++.
• Experience with board bring-up and hardware-software integration.
• Strong knowledge of Linux kernel internals and configuration.
• Experience with bootloaders such as U-Boot.
• Experience with device trees and device driver development.
• Knowledge of ARM architecture and SoC platforms.
• Experience with low-level debugging and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain BSPs for embedded platforms.
• Perform board bring-up, hardware initialization, and platform porting.
• Develop and integrate low-level device drivers and hardware interfaces.
• Configure and customize Linux kernels, device trees, and bootloaders.
• Debug boot failures, kernel issues, hardware initialization, and peripheral integration.
• Work with ARM-based processors, SoCs, and evaluation boards.
• Integrate and validate interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO, CAN, and Ethernet.
• Perform low-level debugging using JTAG, Lauterbach, GDB, or similar tools.
• Optimize boot time, memory usage, and overall system performance.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and embedded software teams.
