Embedded IoT / Edge Solutions Sales Representative, Manager and Director

We are hiring Embedded IoT / Edge Solutions Sales Representatives, Managers, and Directors to expand our reach in mission-critical industries such as Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Telco, as well as consumer electronics. The roles are suitable for candidates with technical skills and familiarity with embedded Linux and RTOS. We are expanding globally, so candidates from almost any country with reasonable business access to a substantial market are encouraged to apply. As we grow our teams, we will also hire Sales Team Managers and Regional Sales Directors. This process is ideal if your goal is a management leadership position.

Canonical is a leading provider of open-source software and operating systems, with Ubuntu being widely used in enterprise initiatives including cloud, data science, AI, engineering, and IoT. Our customer base includes top public cloud and silicon providers, and industry leaders across sectors. The role involves prospecting, strategic account development, and selling open source, services, and software solutions at all organizational levels, especially in departments developing embedded software and IoT devices. Candidates should have experience in embedded Linux, RTOS, or enterprise software sales, and be comfortable with technical discussions and building long-term customer relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Building and executing a territory plan to target security-focused brands and manufacturers.
  2. Collaborating with marketing to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
  3. Developing pipeline through outreach, prospecting, and industry events.
  4. Closing contracts to meet and exceed sales targets.
  5. Managing customer relationships throughout the sales cycle.
  6. Working with IoT Field Engineers to understand customer needs.
  7. Maintaining accurate data and forecasts within Salesforce.
  8. Establishing relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
  9. Coordinating with support, delivery, and management teams.

The position requires travel within the region and internationally, with a focus on developing new business and maintaining existing accounts. Candidates should have a technical undergraduate degree, experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred), and excellent communication skills. A strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to develop and execute sales plans are essential.
