Job summary

The Carlyle Group in New York seeks an Embedded Data Scientist on the Investment Data Science Team to partner with deal professionals across Primaries, Secondaries, and Co-Investments. You will build analytical frameworks, deploy ML models, and create AI-powered diligence workflows to support investment decisions and portfolio insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline required.
• 8+ years of technical experience in Data Science, ML, or related fields.
• Experience building and deploying production-grade analytical products and models.
• Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with data science libraries.
• Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders and solving complex business problems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with investment professionals across Primaries, Secondaries, and Co-Investments to support live opportunities.
• Translate questions into analytical frameworks, models, and actionable insights.
• Conduct quantitative analyses of fund managers, strategies, and market opportunities.
• Present findings to investment teams and senior leadership.
• Develop GP Scoring methodologies and scalable analytical products for investment workflows.
• Design and deploy ML, statistical, and AI-driven solutions to improve decisions.
• Support One-Day Pricing capabilities and market intelligence products.
