Techtronic Industries in Anderson, SC is seeking a Tool Integration Electrical Engineer I/II to drive embedded systems design for battery-powered outdoor equipment, focusing on power electronics, motor control, sensors, and harnesses. The role sits onsite at our Anderson headquarters.

Under supervision, you will design PCBA hardware, wiring, and select components, support prototypes, expand firmware, run tests with oscilloscopes and data acquisition systems, and ensure compliance with UL and CE

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
0.5–4 years in embedded electronics design with hardware skills including 32‑bit MCUs.
Internships, co-ops, research, or hobbies may be counted toward experience.
Experience with PCBA schematic/layout and circuit simulation software.
Familiarity with embedded C development tools (IDEs, compilers, debuggers).
Understanding of battery-powered tool architecture and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of component selection and design tradeoffs.
Ability to deliver Work Breakdown Structures and communicate progress.

Responsibilities

Hardware systems development for cordless tools, including PCBA hardware design and wiring.
Support prototype assembly, troubleshooting, and demonstrations.
Modify and expand firmware for new product offerings.
Use lab equipment to debug and develop designs (oscilloscopes, power supplies, data acquisition).
Run experiments, perform simulations, and analyze data to draw conclusions.
Create and amend test plans for new product categories.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on trade-off discussions.
Drive milestones, communicate progress, and escalate blockers to management.
Ensure designs comply with UL, TÜV, CE, CEC, CPSC, and ANSI with Regulatory.
