Job summary

Efficient Computer in San Jose, CA seeks an Embedded Hardware Engineer to design and bring up PCB hardware and develop the accompanying software and SDK for our energy‑efficient processor platform.

You will validate processors in RTL simulators/FPGA emulators, contribute to pre‑silicon work, boot ROMs, and customer evaluation kits, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to push the boundaries of low‑power embedded systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of PCB board design experience.
• 8+ years developing software for embedded systems.
• 5+ years with C/C++.
• Experience debugging silicon and hardware prototypes in lab.
• Familiar with Altium Designer and standard test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop bring-up test hardware and customer EDKs.
• Engage with PCBA vendors and manage relationships.
• Perform board bring-up and pre-silicon validation.
• Develop boot ROM and firmware for processors.
• Build low-level SDK and standard libraries for customers.
• Support customers with their board development efforts.
