Job summary

Efficient is crafting the world’s most energy-efficient general-purpose processor and enabling AI/ML on battery power. The Embedded Engineer will design firmware and applications, port RTOSes, and build development kits, while collaborating across hardware and software teams to deliver cutting-edge silicon validation and bring-up.

You will own firmware development, SDK maintenance, and lab debugging, supporting customers and contributing to pre/post-silicon activities in a dynamic startup

Qualifications

• 8+ years firmware and applications for embedded systems.
• 8+ years C/C++ development.
• Experience porting RTOS to new architectures.
• Experience debugging silicon and hardware prototypes.
• Deep knowledge of embedded platforms (MSP430, STM32, Ambiq Apollo, PIC32).
• Experience with dev and debugging tools for embedded systems.
• Strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple projects.
• Start-up pace capable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy firmware and apps for processors in simulation, RTL emulation, and silicon.
• Enhance and maintain the low-level SDK and libraries.
• Perform silicon validation and verification.
• Develop bring-up test hardware and customer EVKs.
• Perform board bring-up.
• Perform first-silicon bring-up and checkout.
• Collaborate with Digital Design and Compiler teams to debug silicon issues.
• Support customers with board development, reviewing designs and providing solutions.
