Fruition Group US in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Embedded Flight Software Engineer to bridge low-level hardware and high-level FSW logic. You will ensure reliable boot, safe recovery, and deterministic space communication.

You will develop drivers for MCUs and FPGAs, design bootloaders, and manage memory across nonvolatile storage while ensuring data integrity across reboots. A DoD Top Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded software experience with low-level drivers or bootloaders.
• Experience with C/C++ in embedded systems and RTOS or embedded Linux.
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, CAN, UART) and boot architecture.
• Experience with bootloaders, memory management, and device drivers.
• Experience with version control and automated testing/CI workflows.

Responsabilités

• Develop low-level C/C++ drivers and hardware interfaces for microcontrollers, FPGAs, and buses.
• Design stage-1 and stage-2 bootloaders and fail-safe recovery modes.
• Architect memory management across NOR/NAND Flash, SRAM, and EEPROM.
• Configure bus interfaces between compute units, peripherals, and payloads.
• Implement telemetry, time sync, and task scheduling in RTOS or embedded OS.
• Support HIL testing on flatsats and use diagnostic tools.
• Contribute to CI/CD workflows and flight-unit test campaigns.
• Provide technical guidance on FSW architecture to engineers.
