Job summary

MCSG Technologies is seeking a cFS Software Developer (Mid‑Level) to support NASA Goddard’s Flight Software Systems and the Artemis Lunar Precision Clock project. You will contribute to requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and documentation for embedded flight software in C, C++, and Python.

You will work under guidance to integrate Kalman Filters and clock‑steering algorithms, develop OpenC3 COSMOS interfaces, and participate in CI/CD, Docker environments, and hardware‑in‑the‑loop

Qualifications

• Experience developing embedded software applications.
• Programming experience in C, C++, and Python.
• Familiarity with NASA core Flight System (cFS) and OSAL.
• Experience using Git and GitLab.
• Familiarity with Docker and OpenC3 COSMOS.
• Experience with Linux development environments.
• Familiarity with Real‑Time Operating Systems (RTOS).

Responsibilities

• Software Systems Engineering: support lifecycle activities and translate requirements into designs.
• Flight Software Development: develop, modify, test, and maintain cFS apps, interfaces, and libraries in C/C++ and Python.
• Algorithm Integration: assist Kalman Filters, GEONS estimation, clock steering, and time‑transfer algorithms.
• Ground Software & Operations: develop OpenC3 COSMOS interfaces, telemetry displays, and scripting.
• Integration & Test: execute unit, integration, and system tests; support lab hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing.
• DevOps & Configuration Management: maintain GitLab repos; support Docker environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Documentation: prepare ICDs and design docs per NASA processes.
