Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, or related field.
• At least three years of engineering and programming experience.
• Three years of C and Python/C# programming.
• Experience with Bare-metal programming, RTOS and cooperative operating systems.
• Experience with SP I, I2C and UART interfaces.
• Experience with cellular, Sub-GHz, WiFi and Bluetooth communication protocols.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot with lab equipment.
• Familiarity with product development life cycle and multiple methodologies.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work with computers and standard department software.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops and documents embedded software systems and related hardware interface components for Company products with minimum supervision.
• Maintains current knowledge of new embedded software technology and industry trends.
• Debugs and fixes hardware and software issues in embedded systems.
• Interfaces with low level microcontroller components.
• Performs functional analysis and performance profiling with firmware and hardware in test environments.
• Maintains firmware updates to accommodate field issues or obsolescence.
• Analyzes data to troubleshoot firmware issues in the field.
• Develops functional specifications and provides technical advice to team members.
• Participates in project planning and scheduling.
