Job summary
Glassboard is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer in Indianapolis to own firmware from architecture to validation and manufacturing support. You will work with a cross-functional team of hardware and software engineers to deliver robust embedded solutions for diverse product categories.
The role emphasizes real-time C firmware, Linux/RTOS environments, plus collaboration on hardware interfaces and system-level design.
Qualifications
- Direct experience developing embedded software using Linux, RTOS, or bare metal.
- Familiarity with hardware-level communications such as USB, CAN, UART, SPI, I2C.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git or SVN.
- Familiarity with real-time debuggers like Segger J-Link.
- Familiarity with schematics and basic electronic components.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and debug real-time firmware in C.
- Specify, design, and implement embedded subsystems functionality.
- Drive firmware development for performance and tight hardware integration.
- Assist in creating technical specifications from customer requirements.
- Engage in prototype bring-up, debugging, and functional verification.
