Job summary

Brightsmith in the United States is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to advance a complex hardware/software platform. You will own embedded firmware from concept through production, shaping architecture and driving robust, reliable performance in real-world environments.

You will design and develop firmware in C/C++, implement control algorithms, and collaborate across firmware, controls and system teams to deliver high-quality products with automated testing and CI support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills for embedded targets.
• Experience with Python and MATLAB/Simulink for tooling and analysis.
• Experience designing embedded control systems and state machines.
• Knowledge of real-time embedded systems and CAN communications.
• Familiarity with Linux-based development and toolchains.
• Experience with automated testing and continuous integration.
• Proven debugging and root-cause analysis across hardware and software.
• Experience delivering production-quality embedded software.
