Job summary

The Toro Company is seeking an Embedded Engineer for its Riverside, CA location. You will design circuits, firmware and sensors, work with MCUs, SPI/I2C/UART/CAN interfaces, and contribute to data science and AI initiatives. A BS in electrical/computer engineering is required and 2–7 years of experience depending on level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or closely related field; CS not considered.
• Engineer II: 2-4 years of experience
• Engineer III: 5-7 years of experience
• Engineer IV: 7+ years of experience
• Willing to learn Python, C, and other languages as needed
• Team oriented with good problem-analysis and resolution skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain design concepts for circuits and systems (analog/digital); interface sensors with microcontrollers.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with RTOS environments.
• Strong understanding of hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).
• PCB design; ORCAD preferred tool.
• MCU experience with listed models.
• Sensor applications: inductive, current, resistive, magnetometers, acoustics, accelerometers.
• Data science and/or Generative AI involvement.
• AC/DC power conversion and security methods.
