Job summary

Crestron Electronics Inc. in Rockleigh, NJ is seeking a Firmware Engineer to lead the complete firmware lifecycle for our lighting and environmental control products, including thermostats, keypads, shades, and controllers.

This hands-on role requires at least 3 years of embedded firmware experience and strong C/C++ skills. You will collaborate with hardware engineers, perform board bring-up, run DVT, debug in real time, and help create design documentation while delivering high-quality,

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on embedded firmware development experience.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills and understanding of microcontroller architectures.
• Ability to diagnose and solve complex system-level problems.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proactive, self-motivated, team player in fast-paced cycles.

Responsibilities

• Review and revise product requirements from a firmware perspective.
• Design, develop, and debug firmware for embedded systems (lighting and environmental products).
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate firmware and troubleshoot system issues.
• Lead firmware design verification tests (DVT) and real-time debugging on new boards.
• Create clear technical documentation and test procedures.
• Support products to meet quality standards and customer expectations.
