Job summary

Entrust is seeking a Firmware Engineering Co-Op (6-12 months) in Shakopee, MN to help design and implement Card & Passport personalization firmware. You will work with a team to develop firmware for motors, sensors, vision systems, and personalization technologies, including smart card programming and printing.

You will review requirements, engage in testing, code reviews, and debugging at hardware/firmware boundaries while expanding your skills in a fast-paced, security-focused environment.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
• Two years of coursework completed in current program.
• Experience in C/C++ and Linux with embedded development environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work with multi-person teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, document and deploy firmware.
• Assist in reviewing product requirements and estimation of work.
• Work with test team to validate functionality.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Review and respond to reported field problems.
• Debug issues at the boundary of hardware and firmware.
