Job summary

American Contract Group in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer with a strong focus on DPS or microcontrollers for power electronics and Battery Management System (BMS) products.

You will develop, implement, and validate embedded software/firmware, drive model-based techniques in the NPI process, and collaborate with hardware and systems teams to deliver integrated solutions for power electronics.

This 12-month+ contract is full-time and hybrid (3 days onsite per week).

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded software/firmware development for DPS or microcontrollers.
• Ability to develop, test, and validate firmware for power electronics and BMS.
• Model-based design experience and code generation.
• Strong debugging and testing capabilities with HIL setups.
• Collaborate with hardware and systems engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• DPS or microcontrollers Programming: Develop and implement firmware for power electronics and battery management system products
• Testing and Troubleshooting: Perform testing and debugging of firmware, utilizing various debugging tools, simulators, and hardware-in-the-loop setups.
• Model-Based Design: Utilization and adoption of model-based design methodologies, including simulation, modeling, and automatic code generation to enhance the NPI process.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with hardware engineers, system engineers, and other cross-functional teams to design and deliver integrated solutions for power electronics and BMS applications.
• Documentation and Reporting: Create detailed technical documentation, including specifications, design documents, test plans, and DVT reports.
