Job summary

Emerson is seeking a driven engineering intern to support embedded firmware design and development in a full-time, in-person role at our Minnesota site. You will learn through hands-on work, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to plans spanning weeks to months.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s in engineering
• Zero years of related experience
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Apply technical expertise, commensurate with formal training and job experience in the design and development of embedded firmware
• Prepare detailed plans, generally spanning several weeks to months, necessary to complete assignments.
• Troubleshoot and debug the Software using unit tests, Emulators, Simulators, IDE, and bench testing
• Provide process improvements & recommendations
• Work with internal cross-functional teams to understand firmware requirements
• Perform functional integration testing prior to hand-off to the test & evaluation team
• Conduct software design reviews on assigned projects
