Job summary

BigBear.ai in the United States is seeking an experienced Embedded Engineer to join our mission-driven team supporting critical government programs. You will design, develop, and test embedded software for mission-critical applications across Windows, Linux, and RTOS environments.

The role requires an active TS/SCI with Poly, 5+ years of embedded development, and strong C/C++ and Python skills. You will collaborate with government stakeholders to deliver robust, secure solutions and contribute

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly is required.
  • At least 5 years as an embedded developer on programs of similar scope.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Proficiency in low-level programming on Windows, Linux or RTOS platforms (e.g., VxWorks, uC/OS).
  • Strong experience with C/C++ and Python.

  • Perform requirements analysis to drive clear specifications.

What you will do

What you need to have
  • Clearance:Active TS/SCI with Poly (required).
  • Experience: At least 5 years as an embedded developer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Education:Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in low-level programming on Windows, Linux, or RTOS platforms (e.g., VxWorks, uC/OS).
    • Strong experience with C/C++ and Python programming languages.
