Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. seeks an experienced IT systems professional to create and coordinate customer systems, deployments, and troubleshooting with customer teams. The role includes upgrading installation sites and logging defects for resolution.

You will support hardware programming, testing, and QA collaboration to ensure robust system performance. Required is 8+ years post-degree experience in IT, systems administration, or network engineering, with IPv6 or Cloud Services experience a plus

Qualifications

• 8+ years post-degree experience in IT, systems administration, or network engineering.
• Experience with IPv6 and/or Cloud Services is a plus.
• Familiarity with software system product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Create new customer systems and coordinate deployment, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities between GE systems operations staff, customers, and customer installation crews.
• Upgrade existing customer installation sites by reviewing system release notes and developing an execution plan for upgrades.
• Capture customer system defects during commissioning/troubleshooting and log them to development team for prioritization.
• Perform system testing on returned hardware to understand root cause of failure.
• Program new system hardware that may require special firmware or modifications.
• Assist QA team in system testing as required.

Job description

Upgrade existing customer installation sites, by reviewing system release notes and developing an execution plan for a successful upgrade.

Capture any customer system defects during commissioning/troubleshooting and log them to development team to prioritize them for a resolution.

Perform system testing on returned hardware from customer sites to understand root cause of failure.

Ability to assist QA team in system testing, as required

Requirements:

8+ years post degree experience in IT, systems administration, network engineering, or related discipline beyond BS degree

Experience with IPv6 and/or Cloud Services a plus

Experience with software system product development lifecycle
