Job summary

MSA Safety Inc. in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking an engineer to sustain and advance our Fixed Gas and Flame Detection product line.

You will design and troubleshoot electronic assemblies, integrate software and hardware, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant safety products. The role requires strong circuit design, PCB construction, and experience with Altium Designer, embedded systems, and statistical methods.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Sustain efforts in the Fixed Gas and Flame Detection product line.
• Design, analyze, test and troubleshoot electronic assemblies integrated in safety products.
• Incorporate electronic designs with software, mechanical, test and manufacturing capabilities to ensure successful products meet performance specs.
• Participate on cross-functional project teams in the development of new MSA products.
• Work with customers to determine product design requirements.
• Perform design work including embedded systems, digital and analog circuitry, power supplies and connectivity interfaces.
• Plan, prioritize, and complete engineering investigations on existing products and resolve obsolescence issues.
• Provide concise technical reports to support investigations and judgments.
• Develop and execute test plans to evaluate products/components.
• Participate in design reviews for new products.
