Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot embedded electronic systems for mid-complexity projects. You will collaborate with global engineering teams, product managers, and suppliers to deliver robust, cost-effective designs from concept through release.

Requirements include a BS in EE/CE and 2+ years in embedded hardware, plus experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and C programming for microcontrollers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in electrical or embedded hardware design, development, or validation.
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and circuit simulation.
• Proficiency in C programming for microcontrollers and firmware interaction.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot embedded hardware and firmware for low-to-mid complexity projects.
• Develop analog and digital circuits including microcontrollers, sensors, and power interfaces.
• Create schematics, support PCB layout, run simulations, ensure signal integrity and manufacturability.
• Develop requirements, test plans, and test cases for electronics platforms and subsystems.
• Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, analyzers, power supplies) to validate designs.
• Collaborate with global teams and suppliers to deliver robust platform launches.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and document design decisions.
• Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally as needed.
