Job summary

You will perform functional and reliability testing and work with cross-functional teams to resolve device-side issues.

Qualifications

• Experience testing device-side or embedded software below the application layer.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
• Proficient in log analysis, crash analysis, and stack traces.
• Solid knowledge of OS concepts: processes, threads, memory, IPC, file systems.
• Experience validating lower-layer components (frameworks, HAL, drivers, firmware).
• Ability to create test cases from requirements and specs.
• Experience with defect tracking, test management, and source control.
• Scripting knowledge in Python or shell for diagnostics and automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test scenarios for device-side system software.
• Validate functionality, stability, performance, and power across device builds.
• Reproduce and troubleshoot failures across OS, drivers, firmware, and hardware.
• Collect logs, crash dumps, and traces to identify failure patterns.
• Perform defect triage with clear reproduction steps and evidence.
• Support device bring-up, integration, regression testing, and production issue investigation.
• Develop scripts and utilities for test execution and log collection.
• Improve test coverage by identifying boundary conditions and failures.
