Job summary

Clay is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Data Science and Analytics team. You will be durably embedded with a partner team—Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance, or Partnerships—as their full data partner, shaping what gets built and how the business runs, backed by a central data team.

You will own challenging, ambiguous problems end to end: designing experiments, building predictive models, and creating new metrics to guide our business decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data science with ownership of experimentation or predictive modeling.
• Strong product/business sense linking analysis to revenue.
• Strong statistics and experimentation foundations.
• Expert SQL and Python.
• Experience using AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) to accelerate analytics.
• Clear communicator who can influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own causal inference and experimentation.
• Define how we measure the business.
• Go deep on the toughest questions and build new analysis frameworks.
• Partner as an embedded expert, turning strategic questions into rigorous analysis.
