Capgemini in Auburn Hills, MI seeks a Base Software Developer - Cyber Security for an on-site contract role. You will develop embedded software in C/C++ for automotive ECUs, integrating cybersecurity features and secure peripherals such as HSM/CSM, and implementing Secure Bootloader and related security mechanisms.

The role requires hands-on security-focused embedded development with automotive microcontrollers and cross-functional collaboration to meet cybersecurity standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded software development with C/C++ for automotive ECUs.
• Configuring and integrating secure peripherals (HSM/CSM) in microcontrollers.
• Hands-on Secure Bootloader implementation experience.
• Knowledge of Secure Boot and Secure Flash programming.
• Understanding cryptography concepts and secure communication in embedded systems.
• Experience with automotive microcontrollers and low-level software development.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot embedded software issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software using C/C++ for automotive ECUs and microcontrollers.
• Design, implement, and integrate cybersecurity features into base software platforms.
• Configure and enable secure peripherals such as HSM and CSM.
• Develop and support secure bootloader implementation and validation.
• Implement security mechanisms including Secure Boot, Secure Flash, Secure Diagnostics, and Message Authentication.
• Collaborate with system, architecture, and validation teams for automotive cybersecurity compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve security-related software integration issues.
• Support software testing, verification, and security certification activities.
