Lucas Horsfall, a growing CPA and consulting firm headquartered in Pasadena, CA, seeks an Outsourced Controller for its CAAS practice. You will own the accounting function end-to-end for multiple client companies, driving close, reporting, budgeting, and internal controls while mentoring staff.

You will lead month-end close, audits, and advisory services across tax, purchase accounting, and payroll. A demanding but rewarding environment supports professional growth and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting/finance leadership experience in public accounting, industry, or both.
• 2+ years of experience training and supervising staff.
• Experience working with clients across various industries including manufacturing, nonprofit, and SaaS.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle monthly close and financial statement preparation for a portfolio of clients.
• Set and enforce the close calendar and lead month-end review meetings.
• Serve as primary point of accountability for client, staff, and partner communication.
• Design and implement internal control frameworks tailored to each client.
