Job summary

Bowers CPA's & Advisors is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) team in New York state. The role focuses on providing senior-level accounting services, processing payables/receivables, and supporting clients with financial reporting and month-end close.

You will oversee CAAS transactional staff, ensure accuracy of transactions, and contribute to budget development and financial analysis.

Qualifications

• B.S degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting with 2 years supervisory experience.
• Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage responsibilities of assigned CAAS transactional staff.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of all transaction processing performed by CAAS transaction staff.
• Perform monthly accounting reconciliations of bank and general ledger accounts for assigned clients.
• Manage month-end close for assigned clients.
• Assist with development of financial budgets.
• Prepare and analyze financial reporting.
• Assist in preparing proposals for CAAS services.
• Participate in marketing events.

Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) offers outsourced accounting services, including full-service CFO Advisory Services; controller, bookkeeping, vendor bill processing and payment, customer invoicing, payroll processing and tax reporting, and sales tax preparation. In this role, you will be a member of our CAAS group accountable for providing Senior Accountant-level accounting services, including processing payables and receivables, and various other accounting operations for assigned clients.
