Job summary

System One is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to design, implement and test mission-critical embedded software/firmware for defense and aerospace systems. You will work onsite with an engineering team to develop real-time software using C/C++.

The role requires 4+ years of embedded experience (or 2+ years with a related Master\u2019s), strong RTOS knowledge (VxWorks/Integrity/FreeRTOS), and hands-on debugging with JTAG and oscilloscopes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant embedded software experience (or 2+ years with a related Master\u2019s).
• Strong C/C++ embedded development experience.
• Experience with real-time OS (VxWorks, Integrity, FreeRTOS).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software (architecture + coding in C/C++).
• Write unit tests and support software quality practices.
• Integrate modules and support system-level integration.
• Build tools/test harnesses for testing and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and debug using embedded debugging tools.
• Work in Agile/DevOps/CI/CD/test automation workflows.
• Collaborate with teammates and communicate progress.
• Mentor junior engineers and improve tools/workflows.
