Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the Greater Seattle Area is seeking an Electrical Engineer II (Fixed Term) to own end-to-end development and integration of LRU assemblies for embedded controllers that govern avionics subsystems on the New Glenn rocket. You will lead qualification testing in extreme environments and collaborate across design, test, systems, and software teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a B.S. in electrical, computer engineering or related field with 3+ years of developing and testing complex hardware equipment over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Direct hands-on experience in developing complex electronic assemblies with expertise in systems integration and qualification testing.
  • Familiarity with ethernet, SPI protocols, complex computational devices to monitor sensors and drive actuators, analog/digital filters including design, development, and verification.
  • Experience with MIL-STD-461, DO-160 or similar environmental standards and safety/mission-critical systems is valued.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development and integration of LRU assemblies for Embedded Controllers that control subsystems on New Glenn rocket (actuators, sensors, etc.).
  • Own qualification testing at the integrated assembly level in extreme environments of radiation, temperature, vibration, and EMI/EMC per MIL-STD-461 and DO-160 standards.
  • Support stakeholders with requirement definition and verification activities.
  • Apply technical expertise across the product lifecycle from concept to production release, including power-on, functional, and qualification testing.
  • Collaborate with avionics subsystems to identify capabilities, risks, and develop solutions.
