Job summary

Bose Corporation is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer Co-op to design, implement, and test software for Bose audio products and prototyping platforms. You will collaborate with software, DSP, acoustics, systems, and hardware engineers to deliver robust embedded solutions.

You will gain experience across the software lifecycle, from design and implementation through debugging, validation, and deployment, while developing automation and documentation to support engineering workflows.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS/MS in a related field (CS/CE/EE/SE).
• Programming experience in C/C++ and/or Python.
• Coursework or project work in embedded systems or OS concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test embedded software and firmware for audio systems and platforms.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable code in C/C++ and Python.
• Prototype and integrate software on embedded processors and hardware platforms.
• Develop automation tools to improve testing and workflows.
• Debug, validate, and benchmark software performance in embedded environments.
• Participate in code reviews and follow version-control practices.
• Create technical documentation for software design, implementation, testing, and validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, DSP, acoustics, systems, and hardware engineering.
