Bose Corporation seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to own audio technology solutions from concept to market. You will lead platform software across embedded and RTOS environments, ensuring integration readiness and successful deployment with internal and external teams.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, performance optimization, and synchronization across DSP pipelines, middleware, and hardware interfaces. Hybrid work requires 3 days on-site in Framingham, MA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with 3+ years of experience in computer engineering or related field.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and embedded or RTOS-based software development.
• Experience with audio technologies, including DSP integration, low-latency audio pipelines, or room correction algorithms.
• Working knowledge of real-time or near-real-time systems, including scheduling, latency analysis, synchronization, and performance constraints in embedded or high-performance environments.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and deliver complex software solutions without direct people management.
• Solid understanding of system integration, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with middleware frameworks, IPC mechanisms, and hardware-software interaction.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; comfortable driving technical discussions and influencing outcomes.
• Experience in consumer electronics or OEM/ODM collaboration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end execution of audio technology projects from requirements through validation and delivery.
• Design, implement, and optimize platform software components for embedded/RTOS environments in C/C++.
• Coordinate integration across DSP pipelines, middleware, and partner deliverables; resolve system-level issues.
• Define integration strategies, maintain dependency matrices, and plan for future product lines.
• Be the primary technical point of contact for systems, QA, and security teams; support program-level discussions.
• Validate latency-sensitive audio systems, optimize for real-time performance, and ensure requirements compliance.
• Maintain detailed technical notes, integration plans, and progress reports.
