Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer II to embed with customer teams, define evaluation bars, and lead end‑to‑end model customization and deployment. You’ll tailor open-weight models, optimize training and inference, and ship production systems at scale.

The role spans data prep, customization, training, RLHF, and provisioning serving architectures on AWS, with travel up to 25%. Strong software, ML, and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Hands‑on experience with generative AI technology (LLMs, vision-language models, or speech models).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with large‑scale distributed training of LLMs and production ML systems.

Responsabilidades

• Embed within customer ML and engineering teams to understand goals and translate them into measurable plans.
• Customize and post‑train models for customer domains using open-weight/foundation models.
• Build and optimize large‑scale training and inference pipelines and production stacks.
• Migrate and tune training/inference workloads on AWS Trainium and optimize costs.
