Job summary

Charles River Analytics, a GRVTY company, seeks an MLOps Software Engineer to join an embedded technical analyst on-site team. You will customize AI agent training configurations, tailor agent‑based simulation backends for military wargaming, and help define analytical problems and decision contexts for customers.

The role requires a strong background in AI, agent-based systems, DSLs, and deployment tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field; a graduate‑level degree is preferred
• Experience in artificial intelligence with emphasis on AI agent reinforcement learning and agent‑based simulation
• Ability to read/write/configure a specialized language or configuration grammar used to express wargaming logic
• Experience with deployment engineering, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS GovCloud, and logging/monitoring to maintain high uptime
• Experience with defining analytical questions, decision contexts, assumptions, measures, and experimental designs

Responsibilities

• Customize AI agent training configurations and tailor agent‑based simulation backends for wargaming analyses
• Code agent behavior and decision‑making logic, configure the agent backend, and evaluate outputs
• Identify shortcomings in the DSL or agent architecture and communicate findings to the product team
• Translate customer needs into product requirements, bug reports, and feature requests
• Engage with customers to define analytical problems and experimental designs
