Job summary

ITW Welding in Appleton, WI is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and support AI-enabled embedded software for digitally controlled welding equipment. You will work on real-time C/C++ systems, evaluate AI-assisted development tools, and collaborate across hardware, electrical, and product teams to advance practical AI-driven embedded engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
• 4–8 years of embedded software development experience.
• Strong C/C++ for embedded, real-time, and hardware control.
• Hands-on AI-assisted development tools experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software across multiple hardware platforms.
• Write reliable C/C++ code for real-time control and communications.
• Apply AI tools to engineering problems while maintaining code quality and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and build new products.
