Job summary

Greenwood Memorial Park & Mortuary in San Diego, CA is seeking an Embalmer Apprentice to join our team, where we provide a passionate, purpose-filled work environment and opportunities to learn under a Funeral Director or Licensed Embalmer.

Responsibilities include embalming, disinfecting, dressing, preparing, and casketing the deceased with OSHA-compliant precautions, maintaining a sterile work area, and preparing complete service documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have completed or be enrolled in an accredited mortuary program.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Experience handling sensitive situations professionally.
• Understanding of funeral services and products available.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local funeral industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform embalming, disinfecting, dressing, preparing, and casketing of the deceased under supervision.
• Maintain a sterile and safe work environment in line with company and regulatory rules.
• Prepare complete and accurate documentation for services provided.
• Commit to personal development through training opportunities.

Greenwood Memorial Park is looking for a Embalmer Apprentice to join our team in San Diego, CA where we offer a passionate and purpose-filled work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform embalming, disinfecting, dressing, preparing, and casketing of the deceased using appropriate precautions and OSHA standards in a manner that honors the deceased, under the guidance of a Funeral Director or Licensed Embalmer.
• Maintains a sterile and safe work environment consistent with company, government, and industry rules and
  regulations
• Preparing complete and accurate documents related to services provided
• Commit to personal development and growth by participating in personal training opportunities

Compensation range of $20.00-$23.00/hr.
