Greenwood Memorial Park & Mortuary in San Diego, CA seeks a Licensed Embalmer to join the team. The Embalmer provides skilled, respectful care for the deceased with attention to detail and professionalism, ensuring dignified preparation and final memories for families.

Responsibilities include embalming, preparing and casketing, maintaining a safe workplace, and strict record-keeping. Compensation ranges per hour with benefits and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of funeral industry experience.
• Embalmers License in the state of California or ability to reciprocate.
• Knowledge of professional, municipal, state and federal licensing regulations applicable to the industry.

Responsabilités

• Performs embalming, disinfecting, dressing, preparing and casketing of the deceased using appropriate precautions and OSHA standards in a manner that honors the deceased.
• Maintains a sterile and safe work environment consistent with company, government and industry rules and regulations
• Ensure proper chain of custody is maintained throughout the preparation process
• Ensures embalming room, dressing areas, hairdressing room, storage areas, and cooler facilities are cleaned, disinfected and secured at the end of every shift and maintained in that manner at all times.
• Completes and enforces all record keeping, identification and casketing procedures
• Consistently maintains reverence and respect for the deceased
