Job summary

Berry Aviation, Inc. seeks an Instructor Pilot/Check Pilot to conduct ground, simulator, and aircraft training for EMB-120 pilots under 14 CFR Part 135 regulations and company-approved programs.

You will deliver classroom, simulator, and aircraft instruction, administer tests, and document results while assisting in evaluating and improving training systems and standards. International travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Leadership and mentoring of pilots and IP/CP candidates.
• Strong knowledge of FARs, Part 135 operations, and related guidance.
• Experience training, evaluating, and mentoring pilots in multi-engine aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Provides ground and flight training, mentoring, and evaluation of IP/CP candidates during initial qualification, recurrent, and requalification training programs in accordance with the company Pilot Training Program for the EMB-120.
• Provides classroom, virtual classroom, simulator, and aircraft instruction, including training related to Over-Water and International Operations.
• Provides instruction on aircraft-specific and general aviation subjects for pilots assigned to the EMB-120 and other aircraft platforms as required.
• Administers oral, written, and practical testing of pilots in accordance with applicable CFRs, OpSpecs, the company training program, and appropriate testing standards.
• Completes, with timeliness and accuracy, all required documentation following training and testing activities.
