Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a Thermal Performance Engineer to drive thermal development and cooling strategies across vehicle programs. You will review functional systems, plan tests, and coordinate with lab engineers and the Product team to ensure objectives are met.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, at least five years of relevant experience, and a Chauffeur’s license (or ability to obtain one).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Chauffeur’s License or willingness and ability to get one.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that vehicle functional objectives are achieved and recommend actions to the Product team.
• Conduct reviews of functional systems (simulation and testing), cooling systems status with program chiefs, and development test planning with lab engineers.
• Lead communications and reporting of issues, including status updates and driving issue resolution; support aero/thermal attributes and DVP&R test and reporting.

TheThermal Performance Engineer will ensure that vehicle functionalobjectivesare achieved and will recommend actions to the Product team. The selected candidate will conduct reviews of functional systems(simulation and testing), cooling systems status with program chiefs, development test planning with lab engineers, and annual hot trip execution for assigned programs. The Engineer will also lead the communications and reporting of issues which include status updates and driving issue resolution. TheThermal Performance Engineer willbe responsible forproactive planning andtracking ofvehicle validation, active support of aero/thermal attributes, and DVP&R test and reporting. The engineer will occasionallybe requiredto interact with members ofthe exterior styling studio.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 5 yearsof relevant engineering experience
• Chauffeur’s License or willingness and ability to get one

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with thermal development, HVAC, or cooling systems
• Experience with data acquisition systems
• Experience with drive cell / wind tunnel testing
• Experience working with and directing bargaining unit mechanics
• Ability to work with cross functional teams
• Proven ability to lead teams
• Class A Commercial Driver License
