Job summary

Capgemini Engineering's HVAC Performance Engineer will ensure vehicle functional objectives are achieved and will lead thermal system testing and diagnostics for BEV and ICE platforms. You will plan validation activities, drive issue resolution, and coordinate with lab engineers and product teams, with occasional interaction with exterior styling studio.

The role requires an ABET-accredited engineering degree, 3+ years of experience, and a valid chauffeur’s license or willingness to obtain one,

Job description

The HVAC Performance Engineer will ensure that vehicle functional objectives are achieved and will recommend actions to the Product team. The selected candidate will conduct reviews of functional systems (simulation and testing), HVAC systems status with program chiefs, development test planning with lab engineers, and annual hot trip execution for assigned programs. The Engineer will also lead the communications and reporting of issues which include status updates and driving issue resolution! The HVAC Performance Engineer will be responsible for proactive planning and tracking of vehicle validation, active support of aero/thermal attributes, and DVP&R test and reporting! The engineer will occasionally be required to interact with members of the exterior styling studio.

Required Skills:

• Experience with thermal development, HVAC, or cooling systems
