Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Email Marketing Specialist based in the United States.

As an Email Marketing Specialist, you will play a key role in driving digital engagement and marketing performance for a global supply chain technology business. You will lead the hands‑on execution and optimization of email campaigns and marketing automation programs, using HubSpot to deliver targeted, personalized, and effective communications. Alongside campaign management, you will coordinate cross‑functional marketing projects, ensuring deadlines, deliverables, and stakeholders remain aligned. This role combines technical email marketing expertise with strong project coordination skills, offering a varied workload in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment. You will use data‑driven insights, testing, and automation strategies to improve engagement, lead nurturing, and conversion outcomes. With approximately 70% of your time dedicated to email marketing and 30% to project coordination, you will have the opportunity to make a measurable impact on marketing efficiency and business growth.

Accountabilities
  • Email Marketing Execution and Automation: Manage day‑to‑day email marketing activities in HubSpot, including campaign creation, workflows, forms, lists, and automation programs. Build and execute segmented email campaigns, drip sequences, automated nurture programs, and conditional branching workflows that support marketing objectives and lead development.

  • Campaign Development and Quality Assurance: Create polished, responsive emails using approved messaging and creative assets. Own the technical setup, testing, quality assurance, and deployment of each campaign, ensuring that emails, forms, workflows, enrollment criteria, triggers, and branching logic function correctly.

  • Segmentation, Database Health, and Deliverability: Maintain audience segmentation, contact lists, suppression rules, and database hygiene to support accurate targeting and effective communication. Monitor email deliverability, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure campaigns follow applicable email marketing regulations, including CAN‑SPAM and GDPR where relevant.

  • Testing and Performance Optimization: Plan and execute A/B tests across subject lines, email content, calls to action, audience segments, and send times. Monitor deliverability, open rates, click‑through rates, engagement, and conversions to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes that strengthen campaign performance.

  • Reporting and Marketing Automation Improvement: Build and maintain HubSpot dashboards and reports to evaluate email and automation performance. Analyze results, recommend improvements to personalization and workflow design, and stay informed about HubSpot features, platform updates, and evolving email marketing best practices.

  • Marketing Communications Support: Monitor and manage the general marketing inbox, ensuring incoming messages are handled appropriately and routed when necessary.

  • Marketing Project Coordination: Coordinate assigned marketing projects and initiatives across the department, maintaining project trackers that reflect tasks, owners, deadlines, dependencies, and progress. Work closely with project owners and stakeholders to keep deliverables on schedule and ensure priorities remain clear.

  • Stakeholder Follow‑Up and Risk Management: Proactively follow up with team members, identify bottlenecks and potential delays, and help resolve execution challenges. Organize project kickoffs and check‑ins as needed, and provide regular updates to marketing leadership and team members on project status, upcoming deadlines, risks, and launches.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.

  • Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in email marketing and marketing automation, including practical, hands‑on experience with HubSpot.

  • HubSpot Expertise: Strong knowledge of HubSpot Marketing Hub, particularly email campaign execution, workflows, contact lists, segmentation, forms, and reporting. Ability to independently manage the technical aspects of campaigns and automated programs from setup through deployment and optimization.

  • Marketing Automation Skills: Demonstrated experience building and maintaining drip campaigns, automated nurture sequences, and conditional branching workflows. Understanding of enrollment criteria, triggers, lead nurturing logic, and automation troubleshooting.

  • Email Deliverability and Compliance: Knowledge of email deliverability principles, database hygiene, contact data quality, suppression lists, and email marketing compliance requirements, including CAN‑SPAM and GDPR where applicable.

  • Analytics and Optimization: Experience conducting A/B tests, interpreting campaign performance metrics, building reports, and translating data into actionable recommendations to improve engagement and conversion rates.

  • Project Management and Coordination: Experience coordinating multiple marketing projects simultaneously using project management tools such as Asana, Monday.com, or Smartsheet. Ability to manage project trackers, monitor dependencies, follow up on deliverables, and communicate progress effectively.

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with responsive email design and troubleshooting is important. Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for email development and relevant HubSpot certifications are advantageous.

  • Organization and Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of execution and meeting deadlines.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to follow up with stakeholders, clarify expectations, and coordinate effectively across marketing, content, design, and other teams.

  • Analytical Thinking and Initiative: A proactive, action‑oriented approach to identifying opportunities, resolving challenges, testing new ideas, and continuously improving marketing processes.

  • Independence and Adaptability: Ability to work independently, take ownership of campaign execution, and adapt quickly when switching between technical marketing tasks and cross‑functional project coordination in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Work Arrangement: Comfortable working remotely within the United States while collaborating with distributed teams and stakeholders.

Benefits

  • Additional Perks and Discounts: Access to employee discounts and other benefits through the company's professional employer organization (PEO).

  • Remote Flexibility: Fully remote work arrangement within the United States.

  • Professional Growth: Opportunity to strengthen expertise in marketing automation, campaign analytics, and project coordination while contributing to a global technology business.
