Job summary

Elevation Church is seeking a skilled Email Marketer to design and launch campaigns that engage our church community. You will proofread content, manage lists, and collaborate with ministry teams to deliver on-brand communications.

Ideal candidates will have experience in email marketing, marketing automation, and data analysis, plus a strong portfolio of HTML emails. This role is based in our Matthews, NC offices and supports weekend worship initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and launch email campaigns that help people engage and stay connected with what's happening at Elevation Church
• Proofread every email for clarity, spelling, and brand consistency
• Manage email lists and perform routine list maintenance
• Communicate promptly and accurately with ministry teams on project requests
• Understand the groups of people we have in our database to ensure we’re connecting with our groups in meaningful ways
• Monitor engagement performance, analyze data, and recommend improvements
• Ensure all emails follow best practices

MUST-HAVES

• Active participation in a church (we look for a lifestyle of inviting people to church, volunteering, generosity, and prioritizing community)
• Proven experience as an Email Marketer, Digital Marketer, or related field
• Proficiency in marketing automation technology
• Ability to analyze correspondence data
• Familiarity with analytics and database tools
• Strong portfolio of HTML email samples
• High attention to detail
• Strong time management skills

NICE-TO-HAVES

• Experience working in a non-profit environment or ministry setting
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
• Experience with Salesforce and Marketing Cloud

• Strong written communication and copywriting skills

DAY-TO-DAY

• We’re a Sunday-Thursday work environment. Monday-Thursday, we’re in the office (8:30AM - 5PM); on Sunday, we’re supporting the weekend worship experience either directly in our roles or by choosing a weekly serving opportunity at one of our Elevation Church campuses.
• There’s a lot to accomplish each week, so we’re pretty fast-paced. We’re also not afraid to pivot a strategy or project quickly to meet the needs of the weekend - adaptability is a key competence for us.
• Yes, we work hard. But we’re good at playing hard, too. We’re a creative staff, so there’s no shortage of activities around our offices to have some fun!
